Anyone use 18 inch rims on EK civic 4 dr.??
Have a friend here at work that wants to rice up his ride and put some kinda of 18 inch rims. He currently has 2 1/2 inch neuspeed drop springs. I recommended to him that if he is gonna use 18's then he should look into getting his ride height back to stock. Cheapest way would be stock shocks and springs, but think he is also looking for the full rice-o-mobile and wants some color there. Was looking for some opinions on what shocks/spring combo would keep 18's from tucking....

But still can this be done?? Would stock height yield him enough space so as not to rub? He is gonna get a ground kit to make the ride appear dropped. All I can say is if he buys the beer and wings, bring the car over and I'll do the suspension change for you.

You are seriously gay. If there was an EVO or an STI on here w/ 18" wheels people wouldn't say ****. Someone has a Civic w/ 18's now though and all the sheep come out of the woodwork. And sice when was there a 4-door EK w/ 18's on F&F.

ok captain *****, evo's and sti's on this forum rock 18's for brake clearences and every single one i've seen is made by a reputable company making light forged wheels
the thread starters friend though drives a civic whose suspension is going to consist of neuspeed springs ... now i'm not trying to be a dick but if he's going full rice mode then i doubt the suspension will be tweaked anymore, no less the ******* brakes.
also my man said he was gonna put on the 18's with stock shocks and springs making it function as good as it's gonna look
unless he's running mack truck brakes on his civic, yes 18's are stupid along with your post

well the bir brake kit is going on sooon also how many people have big brake kits and also go racing really now.
hey you mind dishing out some info on your suspension?? Will get my buddy to check this thread out manana and then he can look into pricing and all that mess. Would koni yellows w/ GC work ok with the 18's?? hell of a drop you got but then again them tires mighty thin too. Looks good though.
i have suspension tech springs with a 2.25 inch drop on koni reds set to 2 1/2 for ride control the car. The car dropped an inch when i removed the motor for its transplant. I have sus tec sway bars aswell
and full strut bars upper lower and soon will have the sparco seat belt thing but a custom made one casue me all know its cheaper to get it custom at a place that does roll cages. the rims are 18x7.5 Racing hart c3's running 215/35/18 tires the ride is great hard to belive feels likes its on tracks. handles good i can turn the wheels 98%before they rub. any other questions i will be happy to answer except what motor i am running thats my secret

all i can say is i did my research when i did the car. I took four years of playing around with rims and different colours here is an old pic it also had rota c8's before it looked mean but too many people have those rims. Plus the rims make me different at shows
