24.5x8x15 are a good size to run with.. You can also go as wide as 9.2. Can't go smaller than a 15" rim. Spacers are required as with most drag wheels to clear the caliper.
I run the 24.5x8x15 MHs. They stick out about 2", but turning is not a problem. Just have to raise the car a little bit.

24.5x8.5x15 isnt all that huge. you will need to jack the front a tad though.
you can get them on stock R wheels, but id try to atleast get x7's
you got stage 3's or better? If not get some , because you WILL break them

you can try out even 15x8x22's on a 15x8 (spacer build into the wheel) bogarts wheels which weight near 7-8lbs. each. unless you start to push more the 200whp then i would go with a bigger slick.
the only way to run a smaller size of wheels is changing the itr 5 lug to a gsr brakes. which allow you to either run bogarts 13x8 (with spacers build into the wheel) or even 14x5.5 or try to find 13x8 lenzo wheels or stock EK's steel wheels which will barly clear the gsr calipers. Its also best if you get longer wheel studs since with the spacer you will need the xtra length for safety reasons.

i would worry about getting used to it on street tires first and getting the tune down and the motor broken in. But yes you will need axles. **** id go right to stage 5's. Better safe then sorry.

its gonna be tons different becuase im assuming you are gonna up the boost. Trust me you will have a hard time keeping it under control .**** 350whp on the street was a chore and a 1/2 then i went to almost 450whp on the street and that takes some skill and seat time. Your not even gonna know what to think when you start pushing some power. Do yourself a favor get used to it in incraments.

What does Eagle Rods have to do with it?
If you have it tuned right and use your head on maintenance it shouldnt be much of an issue.
PS if your scared to break it, you shouldnt be asking about wheel and slick combos to drag race. YOU WILL BREAK IT> trust me.
