EDIT: READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE RESPONDING
I'm not the best story-teller in the world but here goes...
Saturday Nov, 13 2004 was the the scariest moments of my life. I work at Merdedes-Benz in Naperville IL. and Im in charge of the loaner dept at my job. With the CRX down, ive been takin' benz's home for the past few months as a means of transportation. My best friends girlfriend just recently purchased a '00 py type R #1234. It is one of the sexiest cars ive ever seen inside and out while only relativly stock. I was driving an ML500 suv. Not the nicest but its a ride i guess. Jordan(the gurls name) had never driven a mercedes sho she asked if she could drive it.
"sure!" i said. "If u let me cruse the R!"
"that's fine" she replied
so she drove the benz around for like 10 min or so and when she returned it was my turn to finally drive the R. I'd been waiting to drive a type R for years now. Just the shear thought of it made my excited. I hoped in the car and went for a drive by myself and the car lived up to EVERY expectation ive EVER had
!!! It wasnt just the RAW all motor power that i felt in every gear, i was most impressed with the AMAZING handling of the car which had no body-roll what-so-ever. It was evertying ive ever dreamed of and i know FIRST-HAND why you type R owners adore this beloved car so much and i mean that ****!! I returned from my 10min joyride not knowing only 5 min later, I would have the biggest scare of my LIFE!When i returned to my buddies house, jordan asked if i wanted to go on the highway and rip it? i was like "Hell yea!" This time she was the driver and i was the passenger. We casually pull out of the nighborhood onto a 35mph(full of traffic) curvy road leading to the expressway. So as we pull out, jordan decides to think shes ******' Speed Racer. She GUNS it thru 1st and 2nd (Im thinking to my self, shes gonna slow down right?) then she proceeded to shift thru 3rd and finally the top of fourth. i looked at the speedometer and noticed we were doing 110 through a turn. once again i thought is this bitch CRAZY?!?!? but there was nothing i could do. As we approched the sharp turn at 110, i felt the R loose its ever-so-tight grip as we then executed a 360 into the oncoming traffic lane, we then bounced off the opposite curb then ricoched back into our original position in the right lane! As we got out LUCKILY UN HURT to my amazement, we looked arouond the car only to notice a scraped rim and tire marks all across Bilter road. THATS IT. i couldnt belive it. I saw a GMC yukon headed right for my face. If we hadn't bounced off that curb and then bounced back in the original lane, i'd be history. As traffic slowed to a hault, people began to yell and scream at us. saying we deserved to spin out like that, when in actuallity, i had NO IDEA that bitch was gonna do that crazy ****. I dont know what she was thinking. Was she trying so show off? was whe trying to rub it in my face that she had a type R and i didnt? Who knows her motive. All i know is, it sucks when your life is put in somone elses hands and there aiint **** you can do about it!
I didnt know what to think. At the moment i wanted to strangle that bitch, but as i thought about it, i was just glad to be alive.
As i look in the mirror and begin to realize how close i was to dying, leaves a queasy feeling in my gut to say the least! I just wanna thank GOD and my family and my dog cuz i didnt know if i'd ever see them again!CONCLUSION:Why am i telling this story? Trust me, its not for simpathy or anything of that nature. I just wanted to share my experience with you guys on this website and to others who have been in near fatal accidents along with mylself. I still love type r's and still hope to purchase one; but no matter what happens in my life or whatever car i end up with, i'll never forget my first ride in the legendary type R!

thanks for the best wishes man...i appreciate it. As for GURLS driving R's i dunno. i think there are SOME(a very small amount
) of females that can drive. Jordan actually is a good driver(in a straight line). When she first got the car she was runnin like 15.5's with apex n1 exhaust, AEM cold air, and a VAFC. now with the same mods, she runs a 14.7, which isnt bad. i just dont know what she was thinkin'. i coulda snapped but that's my guy's gurl and **** so i didn't want to kill her...but some say i should've givven her a mouthfull

A girl driving horribly? Oh my, this must be the first time anything like this has ever happened.
I am glad that you are okay. I hope the girl has learned something from this.

My friend just totalled his Jetta this weekend going through a turn on highway too fast...while hailing :0
The car did a 90 degreen bang up the guardrail, losing most of its front end. Airbags deployed and my friend and the girl passenger is unharmed. Soon after, a Jeep hit him from behind...and another moment later, another Lincoln towncar hit him from behind.
Now, the rear end of the car look worst than the front.
Both driver and passenger not an inch of scratch...went under medical examination as well. Those Jettas don't weight 3500lbs for nothing

how old is this girl? stories like this remind me of the unfortuntate reality that itr owners are getting younger and younger, and thus less mature and more reckless. i'm not saying all young drivers are the same way, but as the purchase value of this great car depreciates while time goes by, more "kids" are going to get into them and sadly add to the tally of destroyed ITRs never to return again...not to mention the lives they take with them

Education....your the moron who cant read. Look you idiot, i didn't post my story to argue with immature **** such as yourself. Excuse my "slang", but the fact that i talk the way i talk doesn't imply my "education" is lower than a fool such as youself. Mentioning that im a straight A full time student in college probably doesn't mean anything to you, not to mention im in charge of a loaner fleet of over 70 Mercedes-Benz(cars your jealous *** could NEVER afford) which is worth as of the month of November, 2,005,754.92 dollars but it's a FACT! Not to mention i just turned 20 years old. If you read the entire story genius, you would notice i was in NO control in the matter and had no choice but to either die or live and thanks to God for my famlily and I, im here to tell my story. If you dont have anything positive to say then stay off this thread!

It's pure luck you emerged from this ride unhurt. Really goes to show that the only place to really push an R (or ANY car for that matter) is on the track or at an autox, not public roads.
BTW, I've been driving for 20 years and what I do see are more wreckless guys on the road than girls, although you unfortunately ran into one of the latter

she just turned 21 this year and yes i agree with you, she is a reckless individual for attempting to do what she did. An absolute moron to be exact
As much as im glad to be alive which is the most importan thing, I'm also glad another R was spared from sure death because from my viewpoint, it was an inevitable disaster waiting to happen!
