60'= 2.15 (i cut a 2.175 on michelin h-rated tires before...just a matter of getting warmed up, and warm up the tires as well.)

on my first run, i made a decent pass, that FINALLY got me out of the 13 second club...

congrats on the 12 second run. now put some drag radials or slicks on it and venture into the low 12 second range

 

that WAS on drag radials and 7 psi.


i still need a little more practice. the more runs i make while im at the track, the deeper into each second class i get.

sorry about that i only seen the part about michelin tires and jumped the gun. what size drag radials are you running?
at least your track is still open to take advantage of the cool air, ours closed down a couple of weeks ago

yeah, the cool air helps....but when the track is cold too...traction can become a ************...

 

those tires love 2nd gear burnouts to get warm.

i tried to do a second gear burnout, but no smoke was coming up???

 

then your clutch musta been slipping , cuz trust me those things will smoke like hell and blind and choke you inside thecar on a 2nd gear burnout. Gotta bring the revs high though
