Default DIY Wide Band Help: Display

I have been interested in getting a LM-1 kit from Innovative, until I ran across a DIY Wideband website and started doing some research! http://www.diy-wb.com Now I am considering doing this due to cost b/c the VW wideband O2 sensor is only $35, and the cost of the controller parts wise is only $25-30! The only problem I am running into is the display portion! They have several options varying from using a multimeter to building an L.E.D. display, to building your own handheld unit, and even using your VAFC/SAFC(in sensor check) to view the voltage! The bad thing about using a voltmeter or your SAFC/VAFC is that you have to use a chart to convert your voltmeter readings to A/F Ratio readings! Is there an easier way to do this? I want to use an LCD display, however I dont want to put it in some huge box! Is there anyone out the there that has done this too and varied from the design to make your own?

*Done research but havent found what I am looking for....HELP!
