My car truly hates me..
Tonight about 5:30 i decide to check the cam timing. After finding the marks on the pully i figure, okay its off. The exhaust cam needs to go counterclockwise 1 tooth, and intake needs to go clockwise 1 tooth.
So i pull the top half of the timing belt cover. And loosen the tensoner.
Then i figure, ah what the hell i might as well throw on my adj cam gears. So i go to pull off the old cam gear, and bink! There goes the keyway thing that locks them together down the timing cover.
Oh ****! So i losen the alt belt, remove it, losen the crank pully, and the pully is stuck on, so i just take a rubber mallet and tap it to try and get it loose since i dont have a pully puller. Next thing, bink a big clunk of the pully breaks off the last piece... So im like WTF. Now i need a new pully because it wont be balanced...
My car is all apart, and for the life of me i cant get the pully off, and now i look down at the pully again, and look at the marks... Theres the 3 in a little group, and one off to the left by itself, so i mark this one with whiteout (before) because thats the one to line up.. Now i look again and see another one by itself over to the right...
If the timing was on the whole time.... Im going to cry.
Anyone have a CTR N1 pully FS???

I know Hmotors has them available, but I know no one off the top of my head selling one. But why did you fiddle with the timing without verifying with a light? Was the motor not running right? I'm not hating, it just sounds like something I would do, which would have me in your exact situation........which it has.
The car ran like a stock Si.
When i lined up the mark on the crank pulley on the mark on the timing cover, the cam gears werent lined up, they were off.
It wasnt my ignition timing that wasnt right, it was my cam timing...
So yeah...

I know you don't want to hear this now but...
This happened to me a few weeks back, thought i was going to have to pull it all apart. Then i realized i had one of those $5 telescopic magnet thingy's from sears. Exteneded the antenna part and stuck her down the valve cover. "Click" and the woodruff key was stuck to the magnet and i pulled it out without removing anything.
Just for next time bro!
