I can get a better buy on a 2001 than a 2002 and wonder if there are any big differences that would make it worth getting the older car? Thank you.

a lot of changes in the 2002, one being the new rear glass window, new interior trimmings. There were more listed, but can't recall..

 

I was looking in the latest issue of Honda Tuning magazine and it has a section listing changes on the new s2000. It says that there is supposed to be a new transmission designed for smoother and quiter shifting, but most of the changes are cosmetic like chrome rings around the tailights, the center console is supposed to be different,also it is supposed to have net-style pockets on the doors, and the stereo has been upgraded with 30 watts per channel and door mounted tweeters. It is also available in a new color called suzuka blue.

 

I think Krow said it all. I don't remember chrome rings though.... Hmmmz Get a 2002 The old vinyl back window scratched WAY too easy. Glass rear window

 

Yeah, get the 2002. The rear window is a little bit smaller, but at least you'll be able to see out of it! Also, the door mounted tweeters are really nice, because when you have two people in the car your legs muffle the music coming from the regular speakers so the tweeters would really help. Also, you'll have a leather console cover instead of the cheap carpet, so you won't have to spend $140 to get one from Rick. I don't much care for the leather wrapped gear shifter, but oh well you can replace that with a titanium one or a voodoo ****. I couldn't tell you about the transmission unless I actually drove it but if they say its smoother then what the hell? I do like the chrome rings around the taillights though, not like they weren't already hot...

just get the hardtop.....i have it....so much easier to see in the back....actually too clear as they all see the back of my head too easily
