yea so my friend has been talkin about painting his tail lights the red like his car but leaving the reverse light white. Now my question is how would you break the tail light seal with out cracking the light? and any suggestions on paint? like stain glass red paint or i dont even know....Also if anyone has any pictures that would be great... oh i also saw a teg around me (black) and he painted his tail lights black on top and black on the bottom and left the middle the same so it just a dash when he hits the break or reverse or turnsignal it looks really good....help please

 

the easiest solution would be to go to the junkyard and buy 98-01 tail lights. if you are going to paint them, you can buy 'stained glass' spray paint at hobby stores, but you don't need to take apart the lights in order to do that, just tape the areas off you don't want painted and spray away. to answer your question about the tail light seals though, the best way is to stick them in the oven for a little while. there's plenty of DIY taillights and headlights threads in the archives.
