EG with Porsche 996 turbo front lip. With story and pics.

Well here it is. I work at this Porsche dealership and one day i ran something over and decided to get out and see what it was. Turns out it was a front lip from a 996 turbo that someone threw away because one of the mounting tabs was broken. So i swiped that bitch and decided i would do something with it. I held it up to my old broken *** bumper and it looked close so DIY came to mind. I got a bumper that wasn't as ruined as my old one and went to work on it. Came out clean and it fit really well, no gaps, i had to drill holes in the bumper and used small bolts, washers and nuts to mount the lip. It was longer on the end so goonies hooked it up by breaking all of his dremel bits then cutting the ends with a boxcutter and sanding the edges with the dremel. Big up to Goonies and Ridiculous for helping and standing in the cold in the middle of the night so i could put the bumper on. License plate mounting hardware and install by the real 127 (not the biter squad.)

this pic is blurry because my digi sucks at night but you get the idea...

Damn I thought the topic title said front CLIP. Actually I think that would be disgusting. Plus a 996 front clip doesn't have much in it, does it.

Nah, I'm pretty sure they are front-engined.

They most certainly are rear-engined. 996 is the code for the 98-03 911, not the Boxster which is MR, or the 928/944/968 which are FR.
