Trunk light in cluster will not go away!~!

01 Prelude base model

Damn light has been bother me for weeks. Pressure on the trunk will not cause it to go away.

IS there a wire that connects to the trunk that sends it a sensor.

Any suggestions or solutions are greatly appreciated.

Just take it back up to the dealership and have them take a look at if for you. They will probably fix it for free

Yes.... there is a black 2 wire harness (terminals look like --| ) attached to your trunk latch. Loosen the Latch (2x10mm Bolts) and check out the harness. That is the wire that will tell you if your trunk is open or not. You either have a problem in your latch or you have a short in the wire. If the harness is disconnected, it will show that the trunk is closed.
