Default Failed smog...is it my ECU?...

well i asked this Q in the hybrid a couple of times and not much of a response...its more of a integra or hybrid Q but hey its in a CRX...plus i like u guys more ...

...JDM B18C...with a P28 w/ a type r program...well i got a smog hook up but i still have to pass emissions...i did the test last week and the guy said my emissions were cool at idle until he touched the gas...apparently there is too much gas going throught the motor...he said if i can get the fuel down then i should pass no problem...well i was told to get a pressure regulator...to turn it down..which i did...i installed the gauge in first to see where the pressure was when i failed...it was around 48-50psi which is almost normal...well now its at 40psi...im thinking the problem might be the type r program...what do u guys think?...think i can pass now or should i bring it down to like 35psi?...someone suggested to get a apex sfac but i really dont want one...plus i dont have the $$ and the time...please help....TIA

Hmm, on a related note... I need a smog hookup to get my ZC passed.. help me

It very well may be the computer. Try retarding your ignition timing and see what happens.

will the ecu override the fpr...ecu only controls the fuel flow through the injectors correct?...as for retarding the timing, how much?...im not really sure how to do it either but i heard its pretty simple...and do u think a stock SOHC P28 would give me a leaner mixture and allow me to pass?...

as for the hook up dustin...ill ask when i pass cuz im going through a friend of a friend and the guy already doesnt really wanna do it...so i dont wanna ask for too many favors at once...hope u understand...

yea...thats what he was gonna do the first time but i didnt have a fpr then...i just wanna make sure it can be done that way and if that really can be a quick fix to the problem...the first time it cost me a 100 bucks and i didnt pass...i dont want it costing me another 100 bucks if it doesnt pass again...
