I just failed my smog check because one of the lines going into the EVAP canister was broken off (the line right below the purge control diaphragm valve). I'm a bit pissed since the smog guy went through all the tests before he failed me on the visual part. I passed the emissions part though (hit the max on HC though). My question is if this broken line even affects the emissions portion of the test. From what I've read before, it doesn't, but i just wanted to confirm this.
