adding a/c????
I recently bought a G2 Integra which is fully loaded except for it doesnt have a/c. This is going to be my daily driver car so I would like to have it if possible. How hard is it to add a/c to a non-a/c car?? Is it just as simple as bolting on the a/c parts??? Is there any custom work required?? My G2 has a B18B motor out of a 98' Integra if that makes a difference at all. Thanks,
Brian

i dunno if anyone is going to know this for you haha no one ever really looks to add A/C but from this question i have to conclude you're from down south, probably Fl or Ga? i only just to this conclusion cause i have actually 1 guy not buy my rabbit cause it had no A/C! he didn't care there was no heat but it had no A/C and had other people from down south ask if it had A/C cause they said it's kind of a must down there?
Yeah, Arizona here. Its fine for about 8 out of 12 months but the summer months when its getting to 115-120 degrees its a absolute must.
Nobody knows??? Do I just need to get the parts off a G2 with a/c or will I need any a/c parts off a G3 since my motor is a B18B???

doesn't matter that you have the B18B. I would suggest maybe contacting "Len" on this board. He works for an dealership and can get you all the necessary parts to install a/c on your car. You could go to a junkyard for "some" of the things but for most of the a/c stuff i would buy brand new to keep yourself from having to replace those parts down the line.
If....i remember correctly i was going to replace everything except for the blower motor and Len quoted me around $650ish...thats a guestimate. That was a while back, so i don't remember exactly. But that included a/c compressor, condensor, evaporator, all lines, a/c fan, drier/accumalator, and maybe another part or two. I don't think the kit included any brackets, ex. a/c compressor bracket. But those little things you could find cheap like at a junkyard.

Has some good prices. About the same though if you go to your local parts store. Although the dealer option i think is the best one because it includes everything you need minus the blower motor i think.
