What kinda of fluid does a 03 rsx type-s use? can i get from autozone or just dealer?

 

I use GM Syncromesh Friction modified. You have to get that from the dealership and it's pretty costly, but it takes the grind away.

 

if you dont use GM synchromesh then only use genuine Honda MTF, its like 4 bucks a quart at the dealer, your gonna need a little over 2 quarts.

fill it up til it comes out the hole, then squirt a few extra in there and plug it back up quickly, also make sure the car is level.

 

you can also use 10-30 even though people like to think it's different

 

I changed my tranny fluid @55k with Mobil 1 synthetic 10-30...

a week later my differential exploded, took the rest of my tranny with it.

Just a thought.

Damn, I feel for you.....that sucks.

 

I switched to Redline. Very happy with the smooth shifting I get from it.

 

Has anybody used or heard anything about Royal purple for the tranny???
