please letme know - I have not clean/changed it in soooo many thousands of miles, I need to know how to get to it without taking off the front bumper
remove that black plastic splashguard under the right fender to get access. i'd suggest using K&N's filter cleaner thing
It does make it easier but is unnecessary. Just turn your wheel to the right. Just remove the fender lining and you can access the filter.
i get to mine from underneath by pulling down the splash gaurd then take it off and use the K&N filter re-charger kit

just take the filter off...well take of the splash guard then undo the filter and clean it and mount it back on...it's not that difficult
Dont forget to dust off the small pebbles and rocks that are imbedded on there. I found using a soft detailers brush that I had before does wonders before spraying it with the K&N filter cleaner
i would say that form under the car would be the easiest just 2 bolts to remove and its very easy to get to.......................that reminds me that mines due for a cleaning too
The K&N filter charger kit has all the isntructions. But the short of it is:
1) remove filter
2) dust off loose dirt
3) spray with k&n filter cleaner
4) let it soak for approx 15mins
5) gently rinse of the cleaner from inside the filter out so the rocks/pebbles dont get stuck in the filter element
6) IMPORTANT AIR DRY no blow drying
7) spray some new k&n filter recharger oil (make sure u cover every inch)
8) re-install
