I used to have a 90 civic si, and I've been keeping an eye out for a replacement, ever since somebody ran into me and totaled it. I just picked up a 91 CRX from the original owner and older retired couple, with 61k miles. Need to take care of a few things first, but it should be a fun daily driver (especially after driving a 2WD Tacoma for nearly a year).

Thanks for the compliments. The photographs make it look better than it does. It's not mint, but it's all there. Paint on the sunroof panel is pretty bad, and the driver's seat bolster is ripped (big shock there). Mechanically, just needs fluids and filters, at least so far. I think I probably should replace the timing belt, since it is past the 72 mo recommended interval.

I paid $4200, which is a bit high, but it's the car I was looking for and I don't ever think I'll see a totally stock one with 61k miles and no rust ever again. It's a very solid car.

Anyone want to trade a EF Civic Helm-inc manual for a CRX one?

Only thing I would do is get some 1-1.5" lowering springs..
But leave it stock and the value will stay up..

Not really.

I'm going to keep it stock for now, and if I ever do any mods, they will not alter the appearance in any way except for maybe the wheels.

 

Great find! Damn if I could find a completely stock clean rex like that. I've got 2 already that had damage so they've got some body kit ****...but damn to find a clean stock rex like that, it deserves to stay that way. And one day a complete unmolested rex will be hard to find.
