type r pads on lude?
I've just call'd the dealer, and they are selling them for $66 for front and $60 for back. Are the type R oems suppose to perform better than the lude oem pads? and is any 100% sure that it will fit?
ty, well i've check for the back online and i think that they will fit. stil thinking which pads to get, type r oem, brembo, hawk hps, or ebc green stuff? any recommendation on sound, bite, and dust?

cobalt friction GTS's are better.
also depends on what you want out of your pads.
if you're just daily driving, i'd stick with OEM. cheap, and they work well enough.
stay away, far away from EBC's.

Why the hell would you buy ITR pads for the prelude, THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.
Hey you should put 91-97 NSX pads on your car! Oh, wait those are exactly the same too!
Just buy aftermarket pads for the prelude, as they are the same part numbers for all 3 of the cars mentioned. And look you already asked about pads so you should already have a good idea what to buy = https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1040676

just because they are all the same form factor doesn't mean they are all the same pad from honda. The compounds can be different from pad to pad. I've heard from ITR people that the ITR pad has a better compound but I have no clue.
Though in general all AFTERMARKET performance brake pads for ITR/wagon/lude etc are the same exact pad, because they are the same form factor and they are performance pads so they just slap on the same hi performance compound for all those pads. But if you ever bought OEM NSX pads before, you'd know that they are like 3 times the price as a set of ITR pads, I would think that means better compound? but like I said who knows, I dont go and test brake pads for a living,

I use OEM type R pads for my street / daily driver pads. No noise. No dust. Good bite. And easily found anywhere.

One thing to note is that it you get an aftermarket pad that is a very hard compound and use them on stock disks then you will score your disks and wear through them quick.
One other thing; The 4th Gen JDM Prelude takes the same pads as the 5th Gen UKDM Prelude, although the UKDM4g takes a slightly different shape/bit shorter pads.

Dudes, this is easy...
4th gen VTEC, ITR, 5th gen lude calipers are exactly the same...
NSX, Same pad size, 2 piston, wider bracket for thicker rotors
Legend takes the same pad, but has a larger bracket for thicker rotors and is 2 pistons which are bigger then the NSX
Accord V6/Wagon, Same pad size, single piston, but wider bracket for thicker rotors
ITR pads are a "slightly" better compound then the prelude, but for the price you can buy axxis ultimates which perform much better as street/track/autox duty, and they are cheap.
The next step up would be the Cobalt GTS pads, then full race pads

Stock ITR front pads have a chase test of GG which equates to a 0.45-0.55/0.45-0.55 coefficient of friction which is quite good for an OEM pad--definetly better than stock Prelude pads.
Axxis Ultimates are great pads with a chase test of GF which is 0.45-0.55/0.35-0.45. They dust a bit and have good cold bit.
Cobalt GTS are really noisy and give the feeling of worn pads when stopping from very slow speeds. They dust a lot too. They do have great bit but not in the cold. They also have great fade resistance. They pads are for very aggressive street drivers, autox, and HPDE.
