couple of front end swap questions..............
considering swapping out my 94 front end for a 98+ front end. Whats involved with it granted i can find the parts in a junk yard. front end and both headlight assemblies are all i will need right? ANyone done this swap out and familar with the costs? Its either this or probably repaint my OE front end to get rid of some knicks. ANyone.???
I'm glad you asked... I am having a body shop do the swap right now, but both fron and rear bumpers. I know you must have the 98-01 headlights and turn signals. My question is: do the bumpers fit without any modification, i.e. I don't want the body shop making a beef because the 98-01 parts "don't fit." Please let me know so I can sleep better!!! Thanks
Everything bolts exactly into to place. No modifications needed. You can even use the same bolts/screws to hold in the new bumpers and lights.
Parts list
98+ OEM front bumper
bumper lenses
bumper lense brackets (the metal peices that screw into the back of the bumper and holds the bumper lense into place)
98+ OEM rear bumper
98+ all red tail lights (optional) JUST DONT GET ALTEZZAS!!!
All the harnesses for the lights plug straight in and like I said earlier, all the bolts/screws fit in perfectly.

glad to know. ANyone got costs on the above parts or estimates? Going to probably source them from junkyards so im not looking for dealer costs.
Dude check my ad in the ad section, Im selling 2000 GSR fenders, 2000 GSR front end, 2000 GSR rear bumper, and 2001 Type R headlights, everything you need. All in perfect shape, was going to put on my 94 but decided to get rid of the whole car.
I bought my front bumper for 200, and it is a brand new honda (acura) part. This obviously makes it easier/cheaper when you get the bodyshop to paint it. But oem unpainted stuff is somewhat difficult to find. www.thepartstrader.com is a pretty good source, as well as this site.
