I'm looking into swaping a JDM B16A into my integra, has anyone encountered problems with emissions from the JDM? Also, is it worth putting an H22a or a B18C1/5 in after all expenses are concidered? or would I be better off with the B16 and the extra cash for upgrades?

 

B16a was used in a 90 93 integra chasis in the Xsi model as well as the b17 in the gsr version in 92 93 so the swap is pretty much staright forward but if u want more power go with the gsr or itr motor the H22 has mad torque but will cost a lot more to install

as fas as emissions u will not pass witha JDM engine

 

Does the B16 strap right down to my DA9 chasis? Just looking if anyone has had any problems with any of the mentioned swaps, I want to have a real good idea on how people have been satisfied with their swaps.

 

yes it does the the only difficultys would be the Vtec wiring but even that is pretty easy the only thing i would do would be replace the mounts because of the year of the chasis


its a stright bolt up swap dificulty of the whol thing i would rate a 2-3 out of 10

 

And also is it possible to get a USDM B16 or for that any B16's that would pass emissions?

yes any usdm b16 would be able to pass emissons u will scarafice like 2-3 hPs but its worth it to not deal with the smog hassle
