Default how would i put a d series in a 94

ok i know d series suck, i know they don't have as much power, so all the haters get over it, i'm thinking about buying a teg shell(no drivetrain), i already have a good d16z6, so i want to use the z6 untill i can afford an h-series swap, so how can i swap a d into the integra cheaply?

you don't, you find a used B18A or B18B and put it in, I mean you can prolly spare $400. Cause that's how much you can find a used LS engine for. It's a waste of time trying to put in a D series. Mounts are not gonna work.

if integra mounts work for eg b series conversions, then eg mounts might work for integra d series swaps, and i'd like to see a full b18 swap ie moter tranny axles ecu go for 400 bucks in good low miledge condition, if you see one tell me, other wise can we please stay on topic, i didn't ask for anyones opinion just technical help please

i believe its a direct swap
all you got to do is use the stock d series mounts
but like everyones going to tell you plz!!! dont do it!! na d series is trash in general and super trash in a integra
you going to be running 19 senond 1/4 and your going to be burned by priuses and insights

It'll also be dumb... I'd buy a car for 500 bucks before I put a SOHC engine in my teg. You really should reconsider.

Some guy in the teg pic post had pics of his integra from germany? with a Z6 and he said it came from the factory that way.
And some guy here in MN did the swap.

i just bought the shell, i think integra owners are gonna shoot me, cause its not an ls its a gsr, i would love to see the look on thieves faces when they pop the hood to see a sohc ha ha, any way i may junkyard turbo it, i don't know we'll see, but the future plans are gonna be an f20b w/ a b16 tranny using this adapter kit https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1007484, while it still has the sohc i can say its jdm yo, kidding

It's just a car. D-series turbo is extremely cheap and can make decent power. Who cares if it used to have a GSR motor in it or even an ITR.

its like taking a prelude and shoving a b series motor in it cause its cheaper and can make more power....

but do you ever see anyone do it?

no.

for thought...
for trying.

I agree, if you are going to do a D-Series swap than you should buy a civic hatchback shell. But please dont disgrace our integra's like that.

these kind of assumptions are going to lead to someone realizing everything doesn't fit when they're lowering the engine into the bay
since this is a rare swap, i doubt you're going to find anyone that knows for certain whether the the D mounts work or if you need B mounts, the only way it seems you will find out what works is trial and error. keep us posted though, i'm curious how this turns out (take lots of pics ). this is what i'd call an anti-sleeper.

I beg to differ, I know you can get an old LS B18A1 for about $400-$500. They are not that expensive. You act like we're talking about a VTEC engine. Now you're talking about some more $$

Pick up a wiring harness and ecu from someone here for dirt cheap like 100 bucks.

Dont be a cheapass man.

Spare 600 bucks and swap in a ls engine

nirther of those include a 5 speed tranny, actually i have a b16, but i don't have a tranny, that is whats turning me off to b series, good tranny's are more expensive than the engins alot of times

it's a direct drop in, my friend did that awhile back.
he got a g3 shell for $600 and had the motor already. he dropped in the z6 and used it for a daily driver too and from work. GREAT gas mileage and the comfort/styling of a bseries teggy... for a whopping $800 all said and done.

and it wasnt noticeably slower then my 5th gen civic with a z6... for a little referance.

i mean really... if everyone was soooo worried about having a fast car, we prolly wouldnt have bought a honda

also, every time i've seen a boosted z6 run a gsr the z6 either keeps up or beats the stock gsr. for about a 3rd the cost of a b18c/b16-swap, a z6-t is a great option

that was a very well thought out post for a trial user for you, better than most of our seasoned users, what i smile about is the fact that newer civics wiegh as much or more as my integra will, also fellas i like that preticular z6 it has always done me right in my old 89 rex, now that i have a 10 month old baby boy it will be nice to have more brakes than power for a change, and a back seat not to mention heat and a not primer paint job, and to have my car ride more than an inch from the ground, that rex has been turbo'd before, i took it off cause it was to much power for my hf brakes, i've had the ***** to the wall preformer now i want some thing more civil, by the way with my after market pistons, port and polish'd head ect., and putting 167 hp to the ground i doubt i'll get passed by metros, insights, or priuses
