Found out today that the key I got with the Civic is valet and not the Master key
I was wondering why it wouldn't open the trunk. I read the manual and it said a tag would be with the keys to have a duplicate made. Well.... I am the third owner and the tag and the Master key is MIA. Since it is a 1998 do I have an avenue to get a new Master key?

Goto the dealer with the car, proof of insurance, and registration, and an id. You propably wont need any of that with you driving the car and they can cut you a new one from the vin info. i dont know how much it would be propably in the neiborhood of $20.
