Default us and jdm p13

are the us and jdm p13 maps different based on the different cams(ive heard) and different compression(dug 10.0 to 10.6), im using the jdm p13 for my smog test and im running rich, can i run the us p13 and have it lean me out a bit to pass or are the maps the same and i would be wasting my time???
thanks

The JDM ecu does pump a little more fuel than the usdm, so switching ecu's may give you the desired result. I don't know how different they are though, or if it's enough of a difference to get your car to pass smog.
