ZC is DOHC but it is still a D series engine.

I can't tell you for sure if it will bolt right up though. If there is any difference it will be in the diameter of the input shaft. But I could be completely wrong about that.

just to be clear, if you are asking if any DOHC tranny will fit on a d16y7 the answer is no.

No B series transmission will fit to a D series engine.

All D series transmissions will fit to a D series engine. Except MAYBE the ZC, somebody else needs to give you the definite answer on that.

It should bolt up, but you will need a fly wheel and clutch to go with the tranny. Also you may need the axles to go with it and i dont think that your engine block is drilled and tapped for the intermediate shaft.

It will bolt up just fine, and you dont have to use the intermediate shaft. You would need to check to make sure the clutch disk will match up tho...honda went all sketchy with the d-series tranny's back in the day some had 20 spline imput shafts some others had 21..im assumeing this is going into a 91 or earlier car that has a Y7 block right?
