did u guys happen to see the new TWM ITB kit???
looks nice and the power mad seems pretty decent
http://www.twminduction.com/Th....html
52mm kit includes aluminum air horns or u can get the 50mm kit which includes carbon air horns. The going price is $2200 for the race kit or $2500 for the street kit. Both kits are complete with fuel rail, Bosch competition injectors,
TWM ITB kit comes with Bosch competition injectiors, etc
check out the dyno run on a 2004 S2k below..note that aem ems can only be used for this kit...i think that with more tuning and a good H/E combo the midrange good def improve along with more top end....i can only imagine if this car had a ported head and mabye some toda cams...if more money was available and one could afford the bottome end to be rebuilt with some sleeves, high comp pistons, pauter rods, toda spec b or C's....whoa!!!!

this is what i asked on s2ki.com and here is the answer....with the ITB's in the midrange power is sick...looks like 40hp at vtec crossover...i bet this can be tuned more..
as you can tell the redline is with aem v2 and ems tuned due to the typical aem hump...i think that these ITB's will really shine with more internal work..ie cams, ported head, higher compression and a good H/E combo

i like the improvement of power under the curve but it's still not enough to warrant the money. i do accept that it will be a great mod for a race s2000. great throttle response can be acheived with ITB's, unlike with F/I.

Razor...i've agreed w/ you before on a lot of things, but w/ this...not so much.
I mean, w/ more tuning, i bet that motor would make even more power, and even on top of that have even more "money" under the curve than what it has right now...just by looking @ the peakiness of the the dyno, it doesn't look like its tuned all that well.
But looking @ say Vapors car for example, he's making about 230 @ the wheels. And this is with what...i/h/e and a ems. Imagine what this car would make on a setup that had a few more mods (the site said it was stock vs ITB and ems...on other changes). If this had i/h/e...and especially other things like TB, cams etc...this would easily hit what...245...255? and maybe 165 (who knows, maybe even 170) or so tq. I think it'd be a hell of a setup, i'm just waiting to hit the lotto, so i can do it and post the dynos first...since that guy who had a very simliar setup way back when never posted his dynos. (everyone knows who i'm talking about...the guy who shot the videos doing the flybys, and supposidly got pulled over doing 150+ and sold all his parts...i wonder what happened to him

I would love to go with ITB's but I am skeptical about the power that they make. I read many thread on s2ki about them but couldnt see huge benefits.
This is another alternative though and relatively cost effective. Thanks for posting Project SSAP1!

yes we know who u r talking about...he had a very ncie setup using the custom hytech exhaust combo...but i dont think he had any internals done...im waiting for the day that someone goes all out on the F20c motor and posts about....i need to hit lotto too man!!!
exaclty what ive been saying though....ITB's are def a great improvement and can lead to some huge gains in the mid to high end...and of course the great throttle response....my thing is yes this item is rather expensive but so is any other N/A part...dont expect to see a hugh gain unless u have a complete package...tuning also plays a part in this....i bet with more tuning and say a decent header like toda, mugen, amuse, J's and a free flowing exhaust i.e. Amuse R1 or R1000, a set of toda cams, ported head, and a built bottom end i would not be suprised if one could get 270rwhp out of this motor...its just that nobody has done this to the s2k and posted about it...
its funny to me that the integra and civic guys have these built up b-series motors with crazy built blocks but yet the guys who could afford the s2k cant do more than I/H/E....hahahahha i guess we spent all the money on the car and cant afford to build the motor

no prob man...just wanna see more progress with the F20c motor...i just wish i had the funds to do it.....i think that ITB's can make power u just need a more compete package and a hella lot of doe to make things right

i guess with a $3000 EG you can bash freely on it all u want and still be able to go junkyard shopping and replace anything u break, while no one is going to upset the fine tuned balance of our beloved S2Ks.

indeed. i loved my crx, hopefully when i'm a lil older (only 20 now) i'll be able to get another crx, and build that one like i always wanted ( i still got some unifinished business). But anyways, comparing b series, and the f20c...or anything s2k in general, stuff is just so expensive. you can pull some ctr cams for a b series for 300 which net good gains, especially in the mid. or you can go w/ one of 10,000 cams that are out for it now. skunk2, buddy club, etc...all under 700. whereas we gotta pay 1k for todas. 1000 for toda exhaust, vs a VERY nice hytech for 700 ish on b series.

Is there another company that makes ITB's besides TWM?

hrmm, 2200 plus 1300 for the ems.
while the increase is across most of the power band, i dont think i could justify spending 3500 for 15 whp and 15 ft/lbs....
they look cool though

about 3000 for 20 hp, and 20 tq on an otherwise stock car...NA. i mean, you could go w/ a SC and get about 100 hp for about 5-7k. But then again, with SC come a lot of things people dont like...(added weight, added height, more moving components/the chance of something going wrong going up). The ones listed...plus u lose out on bragging rights. 5000 bucks on a NA build on a s2000 would give more than enuff gains for me. If i wanted something faster, i woulda got an NSX. ( hopefully that's next on my list) I'm not a RAW power kind of guy anyways...
surprised none of you guys noticed that the dyno chart is misrepresenting the redline of the F20C? I think they threw the kit on the '04 s2000, installed an EMS, raised the redline and tuned from there. If you guys have seen dyno charts from the '04 s2000, you'll see the engine continues to make power right up to redline and possibly beyond that. I would buy with caution here as I don't think everything is what it seems to be from their dyno chart.
Also, that chart raises a RED FLAG in terms of a scientific experiment to prove the gains of the ITB's by themself. You can't make a FAIR comparison of the gains acheived from the ITB's when you compare the installation of the EMS and ITB's to a stock setup. As we all have seen from AEM's website, the install of the EMS can yeild gains of 17+whp. So what can you account the gains of the EMS to be versus the ITBs?

hey vapor....i clearly stated that this was from an 04 s2000...yes they did raise the redline and tune...i also provided a dyno chart of the car totally stock and then with the aem v2 with ems tuned...the first post was with the ITB's and ems...the second chart was with ems and v2...so i think that is some proof to show the gains from going from a v2 intake to the ITB's...both times it was tuned with ems...

sorry about that, I was referring to the first dyno plot from TWM's website, not the second plot you posted. On TWM's site, it states the base run was on a stock s2000, meaning the stock ecu? or perhaps stock intake and headers? It's just a bit vague unless you have more info since the page is titled for the F20C which we know is not the same as the F22.
As far as the second plot, from what you said, it's a stock '04 setup vs '04 tuned via ems? That works but you MUST remember that dyno #'s can't be compared from dyno to dyno, even if it's the same dyno model or manufactuer. There are too many variables to take into acccount and a dyno operator can be liable for different #'s. I see the point you're trying to make but you'll have experimental error from tuning on one dyno and then tuning on another by using two different dyno operators. I would be glad to test and tune a set of ITB's on the same dyno I've been going for the past few years but I really don't think it's worth the time. You'll get great numbers with the car sitting stationary with huge fans blowing into the engine bay and the hood open, but once you close that hood or put an air box on the ITBs with air filters, you'll lose some of the benefits achieved by running ITBs.
