05 Civic Hybrid stereo replacement?

05 Civic Hybrid stereo replacement?
I am helping a friend of mine put a new headunit in his new Civic Hybrid.
We got the center console out, and undid the two screws that the insturctions say to remove, but the next part of the instructions say to unclip the console that contains the stereo / ac unit and everything should pull out. Well, where do you unclip the section at?
I cant see the reason of taking out the entire dash just for the stereo. Any help would be great.

The entire cluster around the radio needs to come out. You'll need a panel removing tool and / or a hook pick to pull it out. There are 3 or 4 clips at the top and more at the bottom, and a couple on the side. Once that whole assembly is loose, unplug everything and pull it out. Then you'll be able to see why that whole panel needed to come out. The brackets that hold the radio in are only accessible this way. It seems tough, but just be gentle or else you'll get pry marks on the soft plastic dash surrounding the cluster...

you can also try this, the bar that you removed the two 8mm screws out of overlaps the bar that the screws go through to hold the radio in place if you pull, hard, on the overlaping bar, it will pop the bottom of the housing out enough so you can work your way to the top with your fingers, do not pull it out too far on the bottom as that will only "bind" the side and upper clips. this works well and no chance of leaving pry marks on the dash, the trick is to "pop" the bottom first.
