I agree that the price is a little high, however it is a starting point, and is very negotiable! Also, I did search and looked at several B16 CRX's, with prices ranging from $2000 (from those desperately needing cash) to $6500....NONE OF THEM had near the engine mods or brand new parts as this car...The price is primarily covering all the aftermarket stuff...This little CRX will smoke another CRX just sporting a B16 with bolt-ons.......Consider the machine work as well as the extra power being made from the completely rebuilt head with the Skunk2 valvetrain. He is only trying to lose as little as possible as he has more in the car than what is being asked...........
Just so you know... You are going to be hard pressed to justify that car being $6500.
Try selling locally, there's always someone that might gobble it up as an impulse buy.
As I see it you're already apologizing for the paint job. There goes your price down ~$2k instantly. I understand that of course you want to get the most for that ride, but you also have to realize that this hobby is not one you get rich off of. It's one that allows fellow Honda owners to have the performance that makes Porsche drivers wake up at night sweating.
Best of luck! Sorry to be negative. Your car can sell fast IF priced appropriately and that's the bottom line!
