Default Is there more potential??? Need some help from tuners

Hopefully that worked, its on imagestation, Anyways, I need some input on my engine, right now it has just been street tuned , no adjustments to the cams, and a fairly conservative fuel map. I was wondering for those of you who have tuned a quite a few engines what kind of potential you see from here.

Right now the biggest bottleneck i think is my b16 throttle body, here is my setup

LS/vtec

ls block, shotpeened ls rods, p30 pistons0.25os, balanced and blueprinted bottom end, with ctr crank pulley, lightened flywheel, clutch balanced as well. all the arp head/rod bolts.

itr head, ctr cams(no diff really, head is from 2001 itr) ported and polished, itr intake manifold, 5 angle grind on the valves, supertech .5 over valves, gasket matched(exhaust and intake side), T1r header,T1R test pipe, 2.5" exhaust and my small b16 throttle body. 2001 itr tranny.

I guess my main question for you guys with experience is if i through a spoon tapered throttle body(or another one if suggested) on there and get some tuning on the dyno, i need to move the vtec engagement point,(kicks fairlyhard) and play with the cams. Can i hit 190-195whp, I only have 91 octane here to work with.

Thanks in advance for your help

Can't see your graph...

I doubt you will hit 190s on that setup.
Maybe high 180s if your lucky.

the numbers were 181whp and 135.6wtq... 190 is only 9hp away with.. i was hoping it is reachable seeing as my vtec engagement is off, im sure i can get some out of the cams(they havent been touched) sitting at 0... and i was hoping with all the headwork, the new tb should give me a bit, the b16 tb is soo small

190+whp is definitely doable with your setup... a 64mm TB will be enough to reach your horsepower goals...

would you recommend a straight through tb, or the tapered spoon 70mm-64mm? i thought it would be a huge bottleneck, its just been getting cold so i havent had time to do much work on the engine. I am happy with the torque numbers tho,

Get the dyno graph posted so we can see whats goin on. Changing the vtec point is not gonna give you more power. It may feel like it because if you set it lower then you get a bigger jump in power ,but not anymore power

you will hit over 190@wheels cus your fuel and timing is not maxed out yet and your throttle body is another 2-4 @ the wheels

It can give more power. If you tune it right so there is more "area under the curve" instead of a sharp peak, you'll have more overall power. Calculus mang...

you have to hit at least 200 hp on a dyno pack to have 190whp due to the fact the wheels are taken off when means its not wheel hp

its all about the correction factor used that determines how far off you are from a dynojet. not having wheels doesn't mean its not "wheel horsepower"

for example one dynapack that I tune on, dynoed within 2hp of two other local dynojets, on the same day. the shop tested that one day just to shut ppl up.

exactly, i have had the car dyno'd before and put down around 180.2 i believe with the wheels on. I have the other sheet somewhere just used this one because i had it on hand .

UPDATE I ordered my spoon throttle body and it should be in , in 2 weeks, i will update you guys when it comes in, and i am tuned. ALSO i will be adding pictures of the setup tonight. Thanks
