Default Who makes a 24+mm Rear Sway Bar for Integras?

I need a 24mm or larger rear sway bar but everyone makes 22mm for my 94 Integra. Any ideas? Thanks

Mugen makes a 24mm and a 26mm bar. Goes for about $360 from King I think.

Mugen - may be out of production
Saner - http://www.sanerperffab.com/ - can make whatever you want
Progress - don't they have a 24mm bar??? maybe it was only 22
Ground Control - sometimes they offer a 25mm bar.

Yep, Saner will make anything you want.

Progress makes a 23mm bar and possibly larger ones too?

edit: Progress makes a 22mm and 24mm bar... not a 23mm bar

I just looked and Mugen makes a 24mm for $390. The 26mm is for the front. Progress is 22mm. Saner does not show the bar for integras. I know they can probaly make it for me but I am out of time. I need one ready to ship. Thanks guys.

I don't think you'll find anything ready to ship. Like I said, I think Mugen has been discontinued. Maybe you could find one used.

As mentioned above, any rear bar made for a civic or integra is interchangeable.

The only exception to this is that a bar made for a regular civic or integra may not fit on an ITR. RJ and I learned this the hard way after he bought my Ground Control bar made for civics/integras and tried to put it on the ITR.

- not that this effects you, just adding it as useful information for the archives.

Whiteline makes at 24mm adjustable bar. Corresponds to 22 in soft and 26mm in stiff setting. Under $200. I've got it installed on my R. Works great! Includes poly bushings and endlinks. Part #BHR72Z It was in stock and took two days to arrive when I ordered it this past summer.

I think this is a misadvertisement. A 4mm change in bar size is HUGE. Comptech, for example, claims about a 5% change between each of their three settings. This seems like a much more realistic number.

I guess shipping to the U.S is lower than their example of Singapore.. using their example it was like $212 shipped via "Post"..

For my ITR, whiteline and saner are my top two choices right now.. I didn't know progress made a 24mm adjustable though, so that might be another good option.. I need to talk to Saner next week and see what they'll charge me for one of their custom jobbers..

I have the Progress 24 mm adjustable rear sway bar on my integra. It will fit any civic or integra because it does not use the stock endlink points on the LCA. It actually comes with all these steel pieces and hiem(sp?) bolts to make an endlink which attaches where the bottom of the shock meets the control arm.

In terms of stiffness, I can't really tell you how it compares to a 22mm bar because I went from a stock GSR sway bar to the Progress one. One thing to keep in mind is on the Progress setup, the endlinks are moved further out from the center of the chassis, which i think causes the bar to be a bit less stiff because of the longer moment arm, thus reducing torsional rigidity. Also, the adjustability is a feature that I am a bit sketch about. At the end of the bar is just a big slot, so u just tighten the bolt down wherever u want. The bolt actually lost grip and the sway bar slipped last time I was autox-ing so my last run was with virtually no sway bar.

In hindsight, I wouldn't recommend getting the Progress sway bar. Just get a bar that attaches to the stock endlink points. It will probably be less of a hassle in the long run and just as stiff.

Global Parts Source in Holland, Michigan is the North American distributor of Whiteline products. It shouldn't cost too much to get something shipped if they have it in their warehouse.

Actually, attaching further out on the lca would make it more effective. I agree with you on the slotted mount at the bar though... that seems like a problem waiting to happen. I'd probably have to fabricate something - probably via welding wire - to keep it from slipping. I wouldn't adjust it anwyay though, just set it at the stiffest setting and go.

5th link

You should seriously try this search engine thing. Some say it's just a fad, but it may eventually catch on.

Hmmm...Maybe then don't make it anymore.

I know Mugen used to make one. I'm 99% sure Ed (Zygspeed) use to run it, among others as well.

If the rear suspension geometry of the '90-93 Integra is the same as the '94+ (except for ITR), then consider the 25 mm adjustable rear sway bar that Walt from Delta Group Motorsports makes. It uses the stock mounting points of the LCA. Pic below.
