Default More LSVTEC questions...

I've done some searching and figured out the proper way to build one, but there are a couple questions I still have:

How do the different heads and pistons (Honda), affect the compression ratio?
I have a b18a block, what would I end up with if I got a b16a1 head, and CTR pistons?

Can I run CTR Cams with that setup too?

What I'm worried about is piston to valve clearance. I know that it's an issue in CRVTEC's but I don't know about in the LS motors.

Are shotpeened LS rods OK for an allmotor setup(with ARP rod bolts) or should I go with forged rods? I'm trying to build this thing with all Honda parts.

Thanks in advance for any info.

OK, so I've searched some more and the consensus seems to be that LS rods are fine up to 8k or so pretty reliably, so that's good.

I can't seem to locate any info on using the CTR components though. I know that you can use the pistons, but no where have I found the CR for those pistons in an LS block with a b16 head.

I also can't find any specifics on the cams being used, although I see people using Toda's and I think those are bigger than CTR cams.

I'll keep searching, but if any of you guys have this setup or know anything more, let know huh?

PR3 head/B18A/B Block

STD = 12.825536009218106
.25 OS = 12.88971493738735

Found it... Good lord am I glad I did! 12.8:1! No thanks, I mean we've got 94 octane and all, but I was going all motor to AVOID 100 hrs of tuning and have a daily driver.

So, someone sell me some p30's
