I hear there will be an autocross Sunday Nov. 14 at Maple Grove Raceway PA. I thought Maple Grove closed for the season last week. But this might be a closed event to the public, I don't know, Anyone have info on this?

 

It's open to the public. Maple Grove is a drag strip that rents out its parking areas to the local SCCA region (Blue Mountain Region) who put on autoxs during the drag race off season.

They are a small group and put on low key events. Expect 50-100 cars. They do 4 runs (I think) and oyu can sign up for additional fun runs in later heats. They do not run by class. You just sign up for the heat you want to run and the heat you want to work.

The lot is a little rough. It is a fair size for the east coast. Courses are fair, sometimes a little tight. Competition is mixed. Registration can be slow. They are not very web-savvy so no preregistration on line.

I cannot go since I promised the wife I'd retire from autocrossing til next year (did 46 events this year) Although it's killing me now

I'll agree with Alan in that the lot is a bit rough on some parts. I thought I broke my car at the March event.

Good competition, a bit laid back too. Maybe I'll go to the December event.
