i have a 93 hatchback with full interior and ran a 14.4 with a jdm gsr motor pretty much stock. i do have a 60 shot of nos also, but i haven't ran it at the track with spray. i say get the gsr with a 50 shot and with good driving, you should be able to beat him.

Ls/Vtec.. Ull spank him.. u should have any problems beating that fat **** car.

my 95 gsr ran a 14.3 i got some bolt ons and thats it i made 158hp 127trq. RSX are slow unless u got cash otherwise go b-series.. h22 suck u cant upgrade to much without detroying a motor. Good Luck

My 92 hatch is capable of a 12 second pass and its only a 4000k motor if even that much. 190hp 145 trq. ls/vtec on stock cams

shouldn't hard to beat that if you do it right! RSX's are heavy!

LS/Vtec IMO or you can do an LS turbo! Best bet for the $ you have to spend!

I raced one in my itr with just an intake and chipped ecu. It was an 02 with header, intake, exhaust, 50 shot of nitrous, hondata tuned with nitrous controller. He got me by a car-length 0-100. Not bad in my opinion. You should be able to take one with any decent motor setup

a friend of mine has a 96 hx coupe wit i/h/e wit phantom grip wit full interior and beat a type s wit greddy evo exhaust. so jus drop a b16 and do your normal bolt-ons maybe a high compression head gasket, skunk2 intake manifold, intake manifold gasket and some good tires you should blow up th type s. i jus figure do all this cause its pretty cheap

I say do a mini-me swap (SOHC ls/vtec)
or poormans ls/vtec-- with a 75 shot and wipe him clean with a single cam slammer - that would not only hand him his *** but place it on a platter too.

he ran a 9.4@77mph with a 2.2 60' on 13" steelies

I ran a 9.3@83mph in my 91 DX hatch, d16y7/z6 mini-me, comp 59300 cam, 14B turbo @ 10psi on hoosier auto cross tires. 2.4 60' roasting the tires through the top of second.

rsx would beat up on those single cams listed if proplerly driven, (except maybe a turbo car)

I doubt it would beat the modified SOHCs in a way lighter chasis. The rsx type s IMO is overweight and runs a low 15. The A6 with a JG head is good for a high 14s. I think it would be a pretty even race between a stock types and a modified SOHC in a hatch or crx.

So your going to a local shop tomorow and getting a motor swap?

....But you dont' even know what your getting yet?

You should probably wait a little bit and do some more research...

In a gutted eg hatchback, with a b16 or b18c1 gsr with a good driver...you shouldn't have trouble...

I agree do some more research.

But with either of the engines you listed, you should be able to beat him with some good driving and light mods.

The type S is NOT fast what so ever. I live near one with 203 whp and a 50 shot and I kick his *** all day long with a UNPROPERLY tuned motor right now thats only putting down 190 to the wheel. It is capably of 210 though once I get it tuned.

And 14.6 is nothing compared to what you will be running with some good driving and a swap with either one of those engines.

With the GSR motor, you should already be down to low 14's on your better runs... If you decide to add boost, I would say go with the ls/vtec though.
