zc engine swap
u can reuse the tranny & axles too, you can use the SI ecu or go with a 88-89 teg ecu or a ZC(PM7) ecu..
A budget ZC swap should run you about 700 bucks installed by yourself....

Research is the best thing you can do before any swap...
With my ZC I did the following:
Replaced
Cap
Rotor
Plugs
Wires
T-Belt
Water Pump
Oil Pan Gasket
Valve Cover Gasket
Oil Filter
Oil
Those are the minimum parts I would replace....
I know I should have replaced other seals as well, but my engine looked fairly good...
When pulling any motor take off the Dist and the TB...
The swap is easier with a couple of friends...

I just did the swap.. and am still ironing out issues with it. But i agree with everyone here. Those sites Lil C listed are great, especially the dmoore one, he's got LOTS of info and pics. I replaced all that Eraser did, plus... front and rear crank seals, both cam seals, and clutch and pressure plate. since you have an si, the wiring should all plug right up.. except for at the distributor. I'm sure you can find plenty of info on what to do there... I personally didn't have to do that because mine was dual point injection.. and the distributor plugs fit the stock ones.
