crazy grinding??
i have a grinding during my low rpms usually 2-3k in almost all gears above 1.. it also kind of makes a noise when im turning right too.. and usually in rainy/cold weather.. its really annoying, and one of my friends said my clutch could be the problem, it feels like the exhaust grinding on something.. or possibly where the tranny connects to the axle?
anyone had this happen to them before?

Sounds like 1 of three simple problems.
1. If it is making a constant grinding noise..... louder on turns, it is probably a wheel bearing. Jack up the front of your car, put your hands on the top & bottom of the tire (fully off the ground), rock in and out..... if there is play then it is your wheel bearing (assuming your ball joints are good).
2. CV joint if it is making a loud click..click..click..click..click..click.. (kind of like grinding but definite clicks). Usually you will be able to see this by getting under the car and looking at the rubber boot on the drive shaft closest to the wheel..... if there are any cracks or splits..... there is a problem.
Does the grinding change with RPM or speed?
3. Your squeelers on your brakes are going indicating you need a brake job. I doubt it is this because of your "turn" statement.

Also check the exhaust heat sheilds...mine use to consistantly 'grind' around 2500 rpms. I took them off and installed them in the trash can.
Also check where the header bolts to the back of the block.

I still have the grinding somewhere in my engine. At first, I thought my valves needed adjustment. I had them adjusted, and that didn't help whatsoever.I had honda tell me its the heat shields. Then they actually checked, and found nothing. I'm thinking of going to a good mechanic to fully inspect my whole engine. Honda is being jewish with my warranty. They wont fix anything on my car until something like actually goes wrong. So I'm screwed until something really goes wrong, or I get it checked by someone else.
