MISHIFT- please help

Default MISHIFT- please help

my friend has a 94 integra gsr with a spoon ecu that allows him to rev to 9,200 but hes on stock valve springs and retainers etc. on the freeway he missshifted 4th to 5th and revd the car to almost 10 grand RPMZ.. he wont keep a steady 800 rpm now at idle.. and sumtimes stalls when he uses his power steering .. wut could this be from? the car still runs normal..

The first thing I would do is a compression test. It sounds like either bent valves or crack piston rings lands...

Not very intelligent reving to 9200 with stock springs/retainers.

Sounds like he bent a valve.

man that sucks, I have a friend that did this not too long ago. He was trying to power shift and didnt make it into the gear. Their were other things effecting him that helped cause this thought. I wont go into that. he shouldnt have been driving anyway. Hope everything goes ok.

Sounds like a bent valve.

Do a comp test and leakdown.

You'll know for sure.
