Just wondering if there would be a purpose, other than cosmetically, making your headlights yellow like they do to those ferraris on the 24hr le mans races. I was planning to do that on my 95 vtec cuz I think they would look good since I have a red car, also if its legal to do in CA. Anybody know?

 

It's purely cosmetics. Not sure of the legality issues.

In those races the yellow light are to separate the different classes, ex. GT class, GT2, GT3. in many european races they race multiple levels at once so if a faster class car is coming up behind a slower one, the slower car driver knows to let him pass and not try to block him. in le Mans the LMP (the reeeallly fast cars) use HIDs and the GT classes (slower) use yellow and white halogens. yellow headlights are legal in most states.
