I just bought a 93 Prelude 16 Valve Automatic, asking some rediculous questions.
Ok this is going to sound stupid but I'm going to say it anyway. I just read that post on the Frankenstein Engine G23 and I was wondering if by putting a new head on my block, if I would get substantial gains? If its a rediculous idea that is stupid just let me know because I really don't know anything about cars.
Alright my second question is, are there any extremely budget turbo setups for my specific type of car...when I say extremely budget I mean it, I'm by no means wealthy, would just like some hp / torque in my car.
Thanks for putting up with me...I know you guys are probably very experienced around here, personally I used to own a 92 prelude but it had to get junked after number problems and inconsistentcies. (230 k of hard driven miles were put on that car)

I believe you have the H23 motor.
You can put a new head on your motor, the H22 VTEC head, and make that hybrid as I did. It is a good torquey motor, but will not be cheap for you.
Search for DSM in the Prelude forum. There have been a few threads about taking the turbo system from the turbo DSM's (eclipse, talon, lazer) and adapting them to the H23/F22......which I also almost did. You basically are able to throw the turbo, turbo manifold, blowoff valve, and 450cc injectors into your motor. YOu will only need to fab up the piping and use a piggyback to control the fuel (SAFC, for instance)

Not trying to sound like a dick. But look at the stickie that has all the links in it. Way more info than you could ever want!
