Default Resonators to quite exhaust down... will it pass the police?

I got a loud exhaust fix it ticket. I wanted to put a 2.25" resonator behind my muffler to quiet it down. Would that make it quiet enough? This is a B18C1 with d/c header and skunk2 2.25" cat back. Stock cat.

depends, there is diff levels of resonation, go to a muffler shop and ask them what they would recogmend, but i would think it would work, if i were u, id just make a cut out 4 the track, and run a close to stock exhaust on the street

Did the cop use a decibel meter? If not, he cannot tell by his ear how loud your exhaust is.

You can fight this ticket in court and win.

a big long-*** resonator (www.kteller.com) would deepen the tone and make it less noticeable.

Ive about had it w/ my thermal canister and am putting on a super turbo muffler soon, instead.

Thats right egcoupe. They told me that I was street racing. I told them I take my car to the track and race it and why would I make sure everything is SMOG legal if I didnt care?

They told me that I WAS A STREET RACER because the inside of my front tires are bald! AHHAAHH I used to have a cheap set of coilovers on and my camber was way messed up!

Also, they heard my exhaust at no rpm over 3000. If they would have heard it over 5K I would understand the fixit ticket but it isn't loud at all until 4500.

first off, they didn't use a decibel meter to prove your exhaust was that loud. second, they is no way in hell they couldve told what rpm you were at especially if you were pretty low in the rpm range. take this **** to court man, you will win, no question. as for these discriminating cops, they can stick this useless harassment up their asses.

Just get it signed off and mail it. Why waste your time going through court when you get the same results. If you want though you could take your ticket to a ref and he'd actually MEASURE your exhaust and if legal sign off your ticket and from then on you know for a fact your exhaust is legal. Unless you plan on going to court totally educated and totally hammer that cop, it's not worth the time you are gonna waste.
