b16a2 94 civic si hatch needs brake upgrade
Hey i just did a swap and was wondering what kind of upgrades i could go for, i will be going turbo on my b16 soon so i need something better than the stock civic rear discs and front brakes, i read brake faq but i dont need something as aggressive as a 5 lug conversion, and i also feel that upgrading to gsr brakes isn't enough
any suggestiong dont want to spend too much $300-500

GSR brakes are more than enough if you also swap the master cylinder and prop. valve. They're also the only things cheap enough to fall within your price range. If you think they aren't enough, you probably haven't had any experience with them and thus are talking out of your ***.
Unless you road race or autocross you don't need big brakes at all because you won't be getting up to high speeds on the street...unless you're an idiot, street-racing ricer.

High quality pads and new rotors would probalby suffice, but if you must go all out...
you could also go for an AEM big brake upgrade, you can pick those up for less than $300. Then you don't have to take apart your whole front suspension, but you usually need bigger than stock wheels...

well ihave brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors now and they do the trick for the sohc but you are right i have not driven gsr brakes so i wouldnt know, but i am assuming because hopefully with a b16 turbo i will be runnign a lot stronger than a stock gsr so hence the need for slightly better brakes...maybe i;m wrong

I think you are. If you're satisfied with your brakes now, then why change them? You'll be adding less than 100 lbs with the swap, and you shouldn't ever see speeds that are any more than you do now. You may get to 60 quicker, but if you're smart, you won't go around driving at 100 mph just because you got a new motor setup.
I only swapped brakes because I hated the rear drums and got mine for dirt cheap. As Archidictus said, the Integra brakes are more than enough with some agressive pads, and I promise that your tires will break loose long before you run out of braking ability. That's the main weak point in a lot of brake setups, tires that aern't sticky enough.
