search - you will find various opinions

when you search - click on archive topics (older than 2 weeks) & search for "AEM CAI" then "AEM intake" then AEM bypass"

you cannot search for "v2" because search string must be 3 letters or more...but in your search results - just look through them for "V2" in the title

the bypass valve is a good idea if you live in an area where it rains often & you dirve through large - deep puddles

the V2 is supposed to offer slightly higher gains - something to do with harmonically charging the air when it goes through the intake....I really don't believe it offers up that much extra HP

in my opinion you'd be better off buying a ebay CAI...then sending $120 + for a AEM CAI or $220+ for the AEM V2

as I said search - archive topics by the way for future reference when you search you will get different results when using plurals ie "intakes" & "intake" will provide different results (you should be safe in this search just using the singular "intake" in your search query)

you should also go to the AEM website...it will answer all the questions you just asked.

I dynoed the Normal AEM and the V2 one after the other and the V2 made 3 more hp and made a couple here and there low to mid range. Its up to you if its worth it or not.

Dont steer him wrong, an intake is one of the most vital potential power gains of a N/A motor setup... air performs like a liquid at high speeds, and ebay intakes are nothing more than simple pipes cut to fit in teh spaces they are provided with, while AEM intakes are scutinized obsessivly and are a huge performance diffrence over an ebay intake, take it from somone is a reformed ricer, ebay cai's while i got mine for 15 bucks with a obx filter, reduced power gains, and made me cry lol
