I am swapping my GSR head this weekend for a built GSR head-
the new head does not have dowel pins in it-

once i have my head off- can i remove the pins and install them into the new head?

or will they crumble, bend, etc?

you can reuse the dowel pins no problems. just make sure they are not bent. If you machined your head and removed larger amount of material its good idea to also cut down your dowel pin by the same amount.

do i just pull them out with pliers, etc

and what are shuffle pins? same story?

yes you can pull them out pretty easy usualyl just come out by hand. but pliar and rag so you dont damage them is easy way as well. I am not sure what is shuffle pins never heard of that term before in honda.

 

i thought dowels were solid and shuffle were hollow any diff
