Default SKUNK 2 valvetrain???YAY or NAY???

hey guys i just wanna ask those people that has skunk valvetrain if its any good...i just purchased a springs/ti retainers..and ready to be put on...i was gona get some omni but its not available right now..and i have to get the springs right away becuz thats the only missing in my car ..and my car is ready to b fixed..the dillemma is that ive heard so much bad stories about their products...like cams breaking in 2 peices and valvespring breaking....i spent to much on my car getting it fixed after i bended some valves..and im just scared that something horrible might happen agen....hoping for some good/proffesional advice..thenx

I ran the Skunk valve train for 15k+ miles with no problem. And still running Skunk Stage 2's

There are other brands of valvetrains that are good as well. you can get a complete kit for under the price of a skunk2 set.

yea but the thing is that i have the springs right now and the retainers is at the shop all ready at hookups..just waiting on the springs so they can start the machining..

I've heard of toda's, crower, comp, and sk2 cams breaking. I would attribute it to installer error, not the cam itself. I chose sk2 b/c I got a hella deal on them, but most all of the reputable companies are fine. Just get someone who knows what ther are doing to do the install so everything is torqued correctly. Its probably better to choose a cam based on your performance desires, compression, and budget, not necessarily on brand.

I'm running all skunk2 stuff and am happy so far 1600 miles and going strong.

been running skunk stage 1's and full vavlepackage for almost 30k now and now problems or bad/accelerated wear #knock on wood*
