Default Custom HID Projector Set-Ups...

I saw these while surfing around today. Although not exactly JDM friendly, what do you guys think of these? This is a Hella HID retrofit on USDM headlamps with D2S bulbs along with Euro-spec projectors and a bit of a smoked finish on the housings. Does anyone out there have anything similar?

HIDtech

There are a lot of people on here who have retrod hids from audis and s2000s and there are plenty of websites that teach you how to do it. The black housing headlight itself looks gay but if you did it with say a stock one it'd look a lot better.

just do it yourself. here is my setup which was completed last summer. OEM housings with hella bi-xenon HID projectors, so i have low beam and high beam.

btw: HIDtech charges about $600-$700 for the retrofitting. that includes YOU sending in YOUR headlights, and then they retrofit it and give it back to you along with the ballast and bulbs.

i found my setup on ebay last year for $325 shipped, which came with projectors, bulbs, ballast and harnesses. I just had to do all the labor myself, but i am damn proud of myself to say that i did it, and the results are awesome..

thanks..too bad i'm not running those wheels anymore. i still like the headlights.. gives the front end more character, and it matches the fogs nicely.

gunmetal rims (ITR's 5 lug) on your black EK with those headlights and fog lights.

Does the headlight being painted like that change the color of the light beam? Either way I like it, sorry for the hijack

EXACTLY my point! lol

it depends what you pick, i was researchin on their site. . looks like it'd cost (for what i want) around $400-$500 (so thats technically about $150 +/- buyin HIDs off of ebay) and it gets professionally done! w00t!

Lots of people have done it, check out the forums on http://www.hidplanet.com and take a look at the retrofit pics forum.

HIDtech is overpriced IMHO.

OT: Airbag Club, where can i get those hoodlocks you have? I like them cause they are small and not circular like other hoodlocks/pins.
