Default what's the impedance of older JL 10W6 subs (not V2)?

I have a pair of older JL 10W6 subs that I'm gonna put in my truck. These are not the newer V2/Version Two 10W6's, but the older line. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone knows the specs of these subs as far as the RMS power handling and impedance. I know they are dual voice coil. I know the newer version of the 10w6 (V2) is 300 watts RMS with dual 6-ohm voice coils, but I don't know if these numbers are the same for the older ones, and don't want to start amp shopping til I have the right specs. Lastly, are JL amps decent? All I've ever used is Kenwood eXcelon products which I have had no problems with, but want to try some different brands.
Thanks

they are dual 6 ohm - go to JL's site, they still have spec sheets for older subs....
