Default 1988 civic head onto a 94 lx?

----asking for a friend----

are these heads interchangeable (sp)? i understand that the 88 is carbed, and the 94 is fuel injected, but isnt that with the manifold?

I am sure you can do the swap. You might run into issues such as dpfi and mpfi. Yes the 88 head will be carb if it's from the dx or lx I believe. I wouldn't do the head swap, but it's up to you. You may run into another issue, wich is obd compatibiltiy. You will have to rework the 88 head to accept obd1.
I'm not too familar with this head swap, but that is what I can say.
