You will need to convert to MPFI. Then to VTEC and obd1. You got some wiring to do. I believe you will need a jumper wires from obdo ecu plugs to the obd1 plugs.

Hope that helps.

im not going mpfi with this motor... i thought when i put the new one in i will buy a new harness not upgrade my old one... cuz im gonna put the d16z6 motor and the p28 ecu in at the same time, so wouldnt mpfi already be wired?

No because the motor harness will not match up correctly with the interior harness. The easiest way to do this type of work in this neck of the woods is to wire your stock harness for MPFI, add an OBD-0 --> OBD-1 jumper harness -- blown90hatch can work with you -- and remove the plugs you need from the OBD-1 harness.

That about sums it up

What type of car is yours? Is it an SI if so all you have to do is wire up VTEC and OBD1 to the stock Si harness. Now if its HF you have to wire vtec and obd1 and you have to repin the harness. If its DX or standard you have to wire it for MPFI, vtec, and obd1 and repin the harness.

YOU CAN NOT USE THE OBD1 HARNESS the main harness is different. You will need a jumper plugs as stated before.
