ok,i thought i would look here first before i go through the pick and pull looking for one.if you live in california and you car was say totalled but you have a bar sticker i am willing to pay.i need an auctual sticker to use as a mock up.i dont care if you scratch over your vin or not,but i need one.any help is verry much appreciated

lol dude are you serious??? Why not just have someone take a picture of one for you. You can work wonders with Photoshop.

 

for all legal reasons no i am not making a *fake bar sticker* i am personally not but i am trying to help a friend and myself out,i dont think a picture is going to work because i need the texture and any kind of seals and what not that would not show up clearly in a pic.if any of you have one that u are wiling to sell let me know asap.if all comes out ok it coud bennefit a lot of people who live in california or possibly canada depending on what type of emissions u have.

why not just make the car carb legal and get the sticker the legit way ?

 

its all about time and money wich i have verry little.most people in ca are in the same boat i am,i wish i could waste hours on end trying to make everything absolutely perfect,but again time is money.its not about being lazy,but some of us need an alternative.

I think he is hoping they will see the sticker and look the other way. Well, to tell you the truth, the sticker doesnt really work these days. Cops still send you to the ref reguardless. There are some cities out there that have task forces that crack down on import cars. I bet if they catch you and find out your made a fake sticker, you would be in for some major shieeet!

i totally agree with you ... thats why i am sitting here eating popcorn waiting for the thread "******* ******* cops impounded my ride because of a fake bar sticker

 

This is sad! I worked hard to get my BAR sticker and you are trying to make fake ones. Do you work for Rota or something?

but seriously, each bar sticker has a number dedicated to your car and your car only. for instance if you have a fake one when you get pulled over and the cop decides to run the numbers, if they dont match with the one from the DMV, I dont know the consequences.

i dont know any of my friends that have bar stickers that would sell them...

even if they would, it would be cheaper just to make ur car BAR legal then to pay for their stickers...

 

basically whats going on is i am looking for a car that was wrecked with a carb approved motor allready,that sticker is now usless.each vin would be changed accordingly,and i assume that the penalty for this cant be anyworse than what isa going to happen to my car if they find my motor anyways.i have been pulled over by the new chp task force"yes they are pretty hard core about it in the bay area"and all he did was run the numers on my block to see if it was stolen.he didnt ask for any bar stickers but i need to be on the safe side.and again,if i had the time or the money to make my car completly legit then i would do it.trust me but right now its out of the question. i guess that kinda clears up any confusion.
