i got a 92si lude i bought it and lamo had put a f22b in it. the crappiest motor swap i have ever seen! i bought it cuz i fig. i could fix it . well it was throwing knock sensor code the valves were set to vtech specs lol! supposed to be the h23 specs well i did valbve jobby helped alot did compeersion check put new timing belt on fouel filter wire s and so on well it ran so lean it destroyed it self i had removed the balancer shaft bolt and installed the knock sensor there and the motor ran alot quieter but still was not right after pulling my hair out for 6 months i said screw it and dropped another one in well stuppid move i had ordered h23 but was not readily avail. so f22 b is cheaper and alot stronger motor than h23 so the well known speed shop assured me the could do it right well i got it back find and ran ok but not near what i xpecte it was throwing 02 sensor code ing output code and knock sensor so i boughtall new sensors installed and good 2 go but the knock sensor i cant find anywhere 2 put the mech told me it should not of been at botom of motor and it should of been at top does it really matter i just need to stop throwing the cel. any one know where i can put it can i take oil sender out and install there? is there any aftermarket ones u can mount externally? what5 can i do short of re wiring the p39 ecu? HELP IM IN KNOCK SENSOR HELL!!!!!!!!!

 

Hey, I had the same problem to but I put it in before I could throw a code. There should be a spot below the oil filter on the back side of the motor. Kinda hard to get too, but thats where mine is placed. If you need some pics let me know and I can try to get you some. Good Luck with it

 

man id love some pics. i got a friend custom machining me a piec to try 2 install in little plug under distrib. hope it works but maybe not id love to see someone else's set up though

Otherwise, you can drill a hole for the said knock sensor.
