NEED HELP!! Tranny problems....
ok everyone..this is been a problem i have been trying to figure out off & on for 2wks now...heres the problem:
I have a GSR tranny and recently I have been battling with getting in gear sometimes. I have replaced the slave clutch cylinder and the master is not leaking at all...fluids full in the resevior also.. I have discovered lately that i cannot get into gear when i 1st start the car in neutral and then put it in gear so I turn off the car and put it in gear adn start it then it works...and recently it seems almost when the car is cold/cold start...the gears are not working but when the car is hot then I can drive it home(approx 40mins) and it works no problem at all...some have said the pressure plate and others say clutch even to clutch fork inside tranny...please give me any suggestion would be helpful so I dont have to buy anything I dont need...thanks in advance..

I'd say try bleeding your clutch again, if that don't work than it has to be your clutch since you replaced the slave & checked master already. If you do the clutch job, definently check out your clutch fork for straightness and make sure its not bent
Make sure your transmission fluid is full and you have no air in your slave cylinder.
If all fluid and no air. Then you could possibly have a bad pressure plate that won't disengage...

Yep, what he said........maybe. However, if its jumb, well, hard to understand what you meant by that, its the clutch. Then, I think its the clutch master. If you havn't replace it since you had the car, it may be due. It might be failing at certain time. If not, somwhere between the pressure plate or internally can be the cause. Then there are few I can still think of on top of my head as well its hard to say.
Don't adjust your pedal, if you feel it needs to be adjusted, I would replaced the spring on the pedal level, in time, the springs wear out. Usually after 75k, alot of people don't even realize this either. free tip,lol

If it was low, you may have a leaky clutch master or a leaky line somwhere. Did you fully tighten the line that mounts to hte slave cylinder when you replace it? Hell, did you even filled it up after you swap the new one in?
