I am sure it possibly could BUT there are much better manifolds out there what for sure would so my question is why not upgrade and not worry about it?

I have an recommend the Edelbrock.

how is your low end with the edelbrock

everyone seems to look at the high end . above 4k with everything.

if im going to replace my stock one, i want something that will create power down low as well as flow up top. i more concered about the low end power i guess.

I would just bore your throttle body to 60mm and port match the Y8 manifold. Then it should have no problem supporting 400whp. I am sticking with my stock Y8 manifold for fitment issues with my ZEX box placement.

throttle body is already bored to 58mm i believe. close enough ?

Are you running the port matched y8 ?

yup the y8 will be good to that HP.
I remember Andrew Yang's Fireball 10 sec CRX had the y8 manifold.

I think I have 2-3 of them in our stash somewhere. Let me check tomorrow to see what I have.

Low end is fine. I also use a 70mm TB (Bored ITR). Creating power down low = wheel spin.

Ive seen both the Z6 and Y8 manifolds make 400~420whp.I think its possible they could make/support up to 450whp.

what are the limiting factors of the manifold ?

the port size?
the shape ?

A little bit of both and the runner length is too long for that kind of set-up.

well... IMO any IM will be good to make 400whp ... add more boost and the air have will be pushed into the IM... it have no choice.

BUT a better design will just give more whp at the same psi... its just more efficient... and can give a better power curve.

I did 335whp at 20 psi with my setup using a y8... but I will bought a Edelbrock to get the full potential of my setup/engine.

Hope that my exemple will make thing clear...

Why? The stock Y8 TB is a 56mm.

The Edelbrock Y8 manifold performs same as stock bottom end and better high end performance.

Edelbrock also has a new 62mm TB that was at SEMA that's a direct bolt-on for the Y8 manifold.

I think with 2.5" charge piping around 60mm would be ideal, but I don't think that the stock 56mm would be that much of a restriction.

Ah, he works there
Honestly, I don't notice any reduction and I am using a stock exhaust, header and cat for breakin. The top end power is amazing and you can here the VTAK kick in like a DOHC. I know, I am a ricer.
