Need serious help with my 89' prelude 2.0S Please help..im lost

I have a 1989 honda prelude 2.0s standard tranny. The car has dual side draft carbs, and is supposed to have 100HP stock.
As it is my honda runs like its got 60Hp and has trouble on hills, the car really has no pickup and i am very disappointed in its preformance.
I have a manual and really am starting to regret buying this car. Anyway my problem is its cold blooded and take 3-5 minutes to get it to idle on its own. I tried adjust the fast idle screw but its up-side down and cannot get to it. And my ECU tells me i have a #10 error i look at the error and it says its intake air temp. so i figure a bad sensor on the intake... but now im lost. After reading my manuals section on emmisions cntrols i really wana just rip out all the emmisions controls and say f u c k it let it blow polution where it will i dont care! is this possible? I see charcole canisters, silinoids, check valves, vacume lines out the @ss. What am i to do? I know cars but this thing has been a pain the whole way. I had to do a complete break job that took 2 weeks.
In the end all i want is a simple normal running prelude with atleast the stock 100HP and some acceloratin. Can anybody help me? Im really lost and about 2 minutes away from bashing the crap out of my honda... Why did honda design these cars to be so complicated with complex emmisions controls that dont work?

Just tested my car and it will only do 100MPH MAX. My old 93 accord could do better. Any idea what my problem is?

for starters you dont have carbs and an ECU...so that may help....
